And gone now...
Aug. 29th, 2005 01:49 amShe left now. I shed some tears. I am such a silly boy. But that's okay. Particularly when there's the shoulder of someone I trust to lean my head on.
Saturday, I felt better. I'll see her soon enough, I'm sure. Had some nice breakfast with one of my favourite people. I then bought myself a new toy, a DVD player. Now, I can actually watch some of my stuff! Okay, there had be a period of low money, and it seems okayish, but now I should hold back a bit. Am I going to Québec City next weekend? And mountain biking the one after? Oops. Ahem...
Sunday, went off on a day-long road trip with
gorbash_dragon and
don_teo. I had been wanting to drive on fun roads recently, and I sure got it! There was speeding, there was twisty roads, there was heart-wrenching hill-tops, it was all there! I have to fill the tank again and split the cost, but I can't possibly split this equally, since the way I drove was anything but fuel-efficient... I did miss my "Tender Prey" album, from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
I spent a roll of slide film, for some unfathomable sentimental reason (or is it just to go through my stash of film?), and now I regret not having used my digital camera. There's some awesome shots on that roll of slides, I'm sure, and now I have to wait, and I'll get crappy files out of it. *pout*

Hairy rocks.

Lake Champlain.

Hey, I could give you my leftover reserve of film! It's mostly slide film (which requires accurate metering), but it'll help you learn, as it shows mistakes very clearly. It's a bit old, it might have shifted, so for playing around and learning technique, it'd be good. And if it works, it's better than Kodak Gold 200, for sure (I have a roll of Fuji NPZ here, which is a bit less than ISO 800 and probably has better grain and color than Gold 200! So you can imagine how sharp and beautiful the Reala, which is ISO 100, is!).
