Christmas is all around us
Dec. 27th, 2005 02:23 pmHolidays are quite nice! Been for Christmas eve in the lady
azrhey's super-extended family, and they are good folk (only one of them ever saw me, and they got me a bottle of red wine which seems to be interesting, and they assure me is good despite being spanish!).
azrhey offered me a tie. The folding table in the living room is currently wearing it. Hmm, ties as interior decoration, I'm sure it's been done before, but I sure haven't seen it! Got some gift certificate for Archambeault, where I'll be getting myself some sweet music, or maybe a DVD (good catch getting me gift certificate rather than actual discs!). The tie was actually a decoy (pfwhew!) for a Sunglass Hut gift certificate. See, I'm not exactly a fashion whore, quite far from it, but I do have my one kryptonite: sunglasses. And while I don't know if I really have good taste, I certainly have expensive taste (I stopped by a Sunglass Hut recently, I asked the price of just one pair that looked interesting, it was $450! I left the store right away). So while I normally try not to go around these kind of places, now I'll get myself some cool shades! There might be titanium involved! Whee!
Unsurprisingly, the plan for the last few days has been "eat, drink, eat some more, catch a little sleep, eat, eat, drink, eat, repeat". Yesterday, for example, was spend eating leftovers. A lot. I had wine with what I think counts as my breakfast. Fruity white wine is just like orange juice, isn't it? I did install my bike trainer, maybe I can fight back? Also spent the good times in bed, no doing anything really important, watching Stargate episodes, and being all comfy. The good life, in short!
Today will be spend in peaceful contemplation of XPLC, my favourite project, although I have to resist the temptation to do something cool with Mac OS X (but I have to focus!). Using iTunes for my music player at the moment, although it is somewhat painful. Maybe I'll work with
sfllaw on a music player, or maybe I should just stab myself in the face, as
cpirate would most likely recommend.
I'm checking out dropping by Waterloo in January, but I still haven't gotten any news from
musicdieu, which one is one of the main reasons to go there (so I can give him a disc and watch the DVD that came with it). Hello?
