Is it morning yet?
Dec. 5th, 2005 05:14 amFriday, I went to see the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier with the lady
azrhey, 'cause I'm just so freakin' sophisticated, ya see? We went to see Stanislas Skrowaczewski directing Mozart's Symphony No. 29 and Flute Concerto No. 1, as well as "Music at Night" by himself and "Concerto for Orchestra" by Witold Lutoslawski. While I found the whole event quite enjoyable, I have to admit that the more modern pieces didn't really tickle my fancy that much.
I also really liked how I was dressed, and felt sharp looking. And that's cool!
Went and saw Aeon Flux after that, on a whim. It was all right, visually nice, okay storyline, but nothing earth-shattering. Not earth-shattaringly bad either, so I guess it could have been worse. Charlize Theron in spandex.
Saturday was some poor attempt at getting my apparently defective Mac OS X installation DVD. Didn't work out too well. Took care of some tasks at home.
Went to
emjayne's Stocking Stuffer Fest 2005, which was quite nice. Didn't really did much stuffing, but listened to some good music, talked with some good people, tried to sneak some high-fivin' out of
blacksquiggles and so on... Scored myself some brownies and a mini-CD.
Make no mistake about it. I am not a morning person, but if properly coerced, waking me up is perfectly fine.
Although now, with my natural habits kicking in like that, tomorrow is not looking to be a morning type of deal!
