The girl next door timidly knocked on my door yesterday. She really didn't mean to disturb me, but she wondered, if there was something I could do, since the walls are a bit thin and, um, she moved her bed the other day, but still, uhhh... Ahem! Rather hilarious, if taken appropriately lightheartedly! Yeah, I do feel a blip of shame at annoying my neighbours, though...
It seems that I would not be a candidate for laser eye surgery. They've treated worse myopia, but mine is more caused by the shape of my overall eye than that of my cornea, so they might not even hit 20/20. So I'd see better without my glasses or contacts, but I wouldn't be able to wear semi-rigid contact lenses anymore, only soft contact lenses (which have poorer optical quality), so I'd see worse for most of the day. Oh well.
I've had dinner with my mom tonight, which was her birthday recently.
azrhey says that, contrary to what I said, I'm weirder than my mom (but I think it should be obvious where that comes from now!).
And it turns out it was a bad day to not go at the office, as everything seems to have gone completely nuts. Crap. Things are mostly under control now, but barely.

given that we could hear her polite whisper that one evening... asking us to keep it down... at what, 11PM? gah, can only imagine what real noise is like for her.
maybe you should be thinking of gifting your neighbour a pair of headphones... take up a collection amongst your apartment visiters/habitants.

Date: 2005-10-19 07:23 pm (UTC)I really wonder, because I sometimes hear music from the other neighbours, and it's quite muffled, so I figure they'd have to talk pretty loud or make a good deal of noise, and when I go in the corridor and I have music playing in my apartment, I can hear just about nothing. But the bedroom's wall seems to be no good? Weird.
