Wow, that's a stretch without writing... Some highlights, as I don't have much time, I must rest!

On Sunday, I joined with a number of my old cégep homies for what was called Project Vico. What is "Vico", you may ask? It's a brand of chocolate milk product. The afternoon and evening consisted of drinking chocolate milk, playing board games, drinking chocolate milk, eating pizza and drinking chocolate milk. The trick is, we're really classy people. Chocolate milk in significant amount makes most people rather farty. We do this on purpose, in some kind of rebellious act against sanity. And boy, did we fart. We had to open the sliding door window, as we were literally suffocating at some point. A good thing I was alone in my bed that night, because I was still farting through the night and a bit the next morning. Wow, I can't believe I'm actually writing about that. And it was a lot of (smelly) fun!

Went to the RAMQ (the medicare card people) to have my card renewed. I was careful to go there after having eaten, to avoid starvation, and to bring a good book ("The Diamond Age", thanks [livejournal.com profile] azrhey!). But it didn't take that long! A bit of waiting in line for a ticket with a number, then as soon as I got it, it was my turn! Had to wait some more to have my picture taken, but all in all, took about half an hour. Between that, my driver's license renewal in less than 5 minutes and [livejournal.com profile] ryss_rhiannon getting her wall unit together, I really think the end of the world is coming soon.

I might be working like a madman these days, but say hello to awesomeness! Today, for the first time ever, the branch I have been working on has passed our suite of automated testing! It's not nearly just my work, but I am very proud nonetheless, of myself and of everyone involved! We rock, woohoo!!!

I read that book. Nifty. I liked how the author dared to push the limits of our imagination in terms of what could be possible in the far (or maybe near) future to a point we could have problems believing that such inventions might exist one day. On that scale at least.

Which is one of the charms I found in Hyperion, where they push those ideas even further and they don't even stop for two seconds and explain to you what every buzzword means. You have to understand by yourself along the way.

PS. I want a Farcaster.
