I have to admit I'm pretty proud of it. Got lucky having the people on the roof having dinner, and the angle makes for interesting lines everywhere, patterns of repeated roofs, etc... It's busy, but then the dinner party grounds the whole thing down, I think.
And there's patterns, which I like. I got lucky, the angle from my vantage point was just right (and I didn't have any choice), and having the people eating on the roof sets everything down, gives it a human scale.
On a more technical side of things, if you want to boggle a bit at what the Canon 20D class of hardware (of which the Rebel XT is a very close relative and should be about equally capable) with a very sharp prime (non-zoom) lens is capable of...
