News From The Lunatic Fringe
Jun. 17th, 2005 04:49 amReally, the weirdest things happens to
andukar (AKA "Dr Held"). He got mail (in the post!) from Batman.
Went to see Never Surrender Saves a Baby, which was... um... something. I generally liked it, but not nearly as much as last year's "Lunatic Van Beethoven", for example, which was just a total riot. I had Tim's crotch 12 inches from my face when he was waving it 2 inches in front of
ayria's face. The orange juice bit was awesome.
Got to meet an actual Fringe star, Rachelle Fordyce (
serendipity_wpg), of S.M.I.L.E. while you D.I.E.! Unfortunately won't be able to make it to her show, hopefully she'll come back next year...
Most of the naughty mens of NITI (plus Rachelle) headed over to the 13th Hour for some beer, drinks, insanity and 11 seconds dance parties (which we eventually escalated into actual dancing when they played some New Order and Beastie Boys!).
Gave rides to people, it was raining A LOT.
I'll try to catch one or two other shows, but my schedule is pretty damned packed already.

Date: 2005-06-17 04:00 pm (UTC)I loved the fringe festival... it was by far my favourite Montreal festival. I remember one evening during the festival when Avery and I were out for food and we thought, "hmm... I wonder if the fringe festival has anything going on."
Rather than checking a schedule, we walked to a place we knew they often had fringe performances, showed up five minutes before a show started, bought tickets, and saw an awesome show.
