Catching up, once more
May. 24th, 2005 02:12 amHad a rather odd weekend. How come it seems I say that all the time? :-)
Had a nice evening at Hatter's friday, seeing the usual crew (hey, that had been a while!), as well as meeting
galialuna. Even had the eventual visit of
ayria and
jimmysworld, cool stuff (even though it gave
azrhey plenty to gloat about)!
Saturday, I'm still not entirely sure what happened. Much lazing about in bed (slept just about 12 hours!), watched a movie, somehow it got late and hunger set in. Various food strategies were attempted, with a few failures, until surprisingly decent food was had at Pizzelli on St-Denis (including the meat calzone from Hell). Then, it was ludicrously late for shutterbugging, but we went anyway. Then more sleep.
Sunday, I finally managed to drop off my winter tires at my dad's warehouse, and stopped by Rémi's on the way back. Talked about my move to Europe, death and my love life, of all things. It's kind of weird how some people can have such a hard time understanding, but still be very accepting. Felt like I explained in more details than they have ever been laid out, which is interesting in a way for myself, but was rather exhausting.
Then proceeded to shuffle back and forth around town, being utterly confused about what's going on, but eventually succeeded in picking up both of my favourite people and parked the car near the venue we were going at later. By that time, I was rather exhausted, and it seemed like I was the one doing the best of us three, with one of us fighting headaches and a case of bad mood.
Picked some random mexican food (was a rather weird place on St-Laurent, south of Mont-Royal), attempted to have coffee at Paulo but failed (it was closed), found some at the spanish restaurant under La Sala Rossa, waited in line some, and finally made it. Got some seated spots, played "hangman" while the rather disappointing opening act was making noise. The Decemberists themselves were pretty good, being good at being a live band rather than merely playing their songs.
Today was rather uneventful, being at working making up time. Unplanned (do I ever plan anything?) dinner with
azrhey at Indiana (oh, the coffee was rough!). Played some of the most politically incorrect foosball ever played, getting mooned at several occasion and even flashed once by our dear
musicdieu.
