The five quirky habits meme

Ahh, I have been tagged by the good man phrawzty.

1. I am very careful with my apartment and car keys. If I'm approaching a grate in the pavement while getting to my car or apartment, I will hold my keys carefully while I'm close.
   
2. I crack my joints. Not too uncommon, but I crack some joints that aren't commonly cracked. Like my tailbone.
   
3. I will only rarely tell people that I love them. Not that I don't do it at all, but that I'll only say it when the feeling is overwhelming me. I once apologized for having said it, because I was under the influence at the time and I don't want anyone to think it wasn't meant fully.
   
4. In my car's CD storage space, I always put the CD that is playing left-most, so I can grab it blindly.
   
5. I never answer my home phone. But then, I've never told my number to anyone, and actually, I don't even know it!
   
6. I go by my real name online, with very few exceptions.
   

I suppose something should be said for my mistrust of authority, as I am breaking most of the "ground rules". If you find this interesting to do, do it.

When I was young I read a fantasy book in which one character mentioned that the most important thing to do is to tell someone when you love them.

I decided that if I ever fell in love, I would make a point of telling the person whenever I fell a surge of love from being with them.

I think I tell taxlady that I love her about 20 or 30 times per day. I've asked her, and she says it doesn't bother her.

Well, okay, I've answered it a few times, but usually after much prodding on IM! And people got my number using caller ID when I used the land-line to call them (I don't answer, but I make calls with it), to this day, I still don't know the number. And okay, I did have to tell the number to the ADSL Internet company. :-)

But overall, me and "talking on the phone", meh!

Oh, I do tell, but sparingly. I just set my threshold for "a surge of love" higher. I seem to say it a few times a month, on average.

I also don't give flowers to lovers. I've done it a few times, but on rare occasions (less than once a year, on average), and I didn't particularly the results, so I don't think I'll keep that up.

Hahaha! I think I have the number in my cell's phonebook, on the principle that I ought to be able to give out my own number, even if I wouldn't answer... ;-)
