Wacky plans

pphaneufMeant to write a bit more about my wacky plan of last friday night, but I was too busy to write much, or I was forgetting. Well, now that I remember and I'm unable to sleep at the moment, I'll do so before I forget for good!

ryss_rhiannon, I was feeling in a bit of an "exploration of myself" mood. I wondered, if I was so cute and everything, how I'd fare picking up a random girl at a whim. Note, I've never done this, or even attempted to do this, this was being very innovative exploration for me!
So I remembered some vague comment some people had made about how I could probably "pick up" easily in the silly crowd at the Mad Hatter, if I had the inclination to, and thought this wasn't completely unreasonable (here! here! you can spot the wackiness!). Now, before some people might get offended by the idea that I might want to have anything to do with the kind of girl one could pick up at the Hatter's, I didn't necessarily intend to follow through with my picking up, this was purely an experiment!
The point is, ultimately, I didn't get faced with the decision of having to turn down sex after all.
As I was leaving, I was really reconsidering how good of an idea this was, seeing how my ego was in a rather poor state at that point, and how I just used up a perfectly good evening to get myself like that.
Now, it wasn't entirely negative, I had a surprising amount of fun, playing some foosball and pools, considering I just went by myself, to mingle with complete strangers. But overall, I just felt rather dumb by the time I got to bed, in a number of ways.
I'm still trying to figure out if I've learned something useful, there...
