It hurts to hurt someone you care for (without meaning to, of course). I didn't mean to, so I shall not torture myself with it, and I was glad to hear of it immediately rather that have it rot away from sight, and then make itself remembered with a foul stench...

Getting off the metro while going to Hatter's, I saw someone I haven't said in a while. I said "Bye! Hello!", in quick succession. It was pointed out that it usually goes in the reverse order, as I realized as well at the same time I was saying it, but I did not mean to do it that way, it just came to me as "bye, can't talk to you! oh, but I should have said hello, enough time for that, so hello!". My own oddity made me immensely happy. It's all about not meaning to, just being like that naturally, because it makes sense to me.

Met [livejournal.com profile] jaramin at Hatter's, which made me smile. Bright eyed free software advocates, they're so cute sometimes... ;-)

I remembered a dream very well, which is very rare for me, and it was a good dream, so ha!

I was then found having some nice omelet for breakfast somewhere on the Plateau with [livejournal.com profile] azrhey, making plans for the rest of the day and evening, when I suddenly remembered [livejournal.com profile] sfllaw had invited me for dinner! Oops! Well, it all worked out nice, took some photos (none really good that I remember, but I had fun taking them, which is important), had some good espresso, saw some wickedly expensive cookware, sat in a huge lawn chair, met one of [livejournal.com profile] azrhey's friends, walked some more, had some hot chocolate and drove around.

Huge lawn chair at metro Mont-Royal

Headed over to [livejournal.com profile] sfllaw, where I enjoyed the sky, the air, the cat, the beer, the wine, the food, the discussion and the company, not necessarily in that order. Tail call optimizations in C++ compilers were discussed.

Someone is leaving soon, leaves me fidgeting a bit. Should take some advantage of the time that's left, before it slips by...

Those giant lawn chairs are awesome. I don't know who came up with the idea, but they're a genius.

someone smoking a lot of weed... because as Denis Leary says... weed is not the gateway drug... the only thing weed ever led to... was carpentry. Or something.

That guy on the arm of the chair up there looks like he's got it all sorted out.
