On sunday, goodness was to be had. First, a plan hatched at the last minute with [livejournal.com profile] ayria to go bike (for me) and rollerblade (for her). I broke my bike's chain, thankfully not too far from Atwater, where there is that bike shop on Notre-Dame. Then went all the way to the end of the path, to the René-Levesque Park, where we went to the tip of the point.

Got back home a few minutes before [livejournal.com profile] pdage arrived, with whom I went to join [livejournal.com profile] emjayne at a café in the old Forum to discuss photography. As usual, [livejournal.com profile] pdage had plenty of the crazy stories. We discussed some technical bits, as well as how to run a depanneur properly. I wished we would have had time to discuss some of the more business-related aspect of things, as I'm thinking of doing some photography work on the side. Was fun, brought back some good memories!

Then, I planned and executed a kidnapping, involving chouriço sausage and keeping my cool in the face of the nice sunburns I inflicted on myself on my bike ride, and had now became horribly apparent. I happened to have blue underwear, and thanks to my slightly longer biking shorts, I could do the french flag!

Today, woke up to some nice summer rain and thunder. :-)

Tonight, decided that life wasn't worth living anymore and took [livejournal.com profile] ayria for a bit of driving lesson with the manual transmission. She did pretty well, so I progressively applied some more pressure. Need practice, as everyone does, but she did no worse than I did my first time. Celebrated with some ice cream, of course!

Sitting there between you and [livejournal.com profile] pdage was like listening to two grizzled veterans reminisce about long ago battles.

Thanks for the advice. Muchly appreciated. I made a 'Lite-Brite/Velvia' joke the other day and thought of you two :)

There was a bit of advice I meant to tell you, but forgot. It's actually very basic and very important:

When you put a camera on a table, never let the strap dangle. Never.
