Im Rhythmus Bleiben!
May. 15th, 2005 04:45 amWent out for a nice walk friday evening in fine company, through Place-des-Arts, Chinatown and the Old Montreal. Took a few photos, not expecting anything great, but I had fun and it was relaxing.
I will learn to not leave marks, some day.
Went to La Paryse for the first time, and it's true, cream cheese in a burger makes a lot of sense, it's awesome! Went for a pint at the neighboring Pub Quartier Latin before heading over to see Front 242, with
musicdieu (who wrote a bit about it),
wlach and
cpirate. In summary, they were great. The rumours of them only playing songs from their newest album was mostly false, as they played stuff from all over, including "Im Rhythmus Bleiben", "Headhunter", "Modern Angel", "Crapage", and so on. I have to agree with
musicdieu, the DJ that was opening for them was awesome, I need to find myself more of that in Montreal.
I got a Christmas present today! *grins*

And we need to take pictures.
Seriously, if you know of any places that are going to play stuff like that until closing time, let me know. I'm so there. I'm also still looking for a place that will play late 70's and early 80's Britpunk and post-punk, as well as 80's European dance music. Not many of those here, unfortunately.
