Was the victim of excessive paranoia. Made empty threats in return. How useful is that, I wonder? Bah, worked out things, it's all good, I'm as happy as can be. :-)

Tried to work out the mysteries of Mach-O binaries. Had some success, but the Mac OS X APIs to deal with them still have some mysteries left to decipher...

I'm having some wine while putting some order through the things in my study. It's still pretty chaotic, but there's a garbage bag filling up, as well as some stuff that still potentially useful to give away. My self-imposed deadline of "before May" is coming quickly, so I've mounted a large scale assault. I recovered many things, including a microwave oven!

But now, I'm a bit tired of cleaning, and I've been chatting away with one of my favourite persons...

Do I really want to know why you're dealing with Mach-O binaries?

Dynamically loading them on Mac OS X, for XPLC.

Ah. Now see, that's an alarmingly sensible reply. And to think, there are certain people slanderously going around saying that it is obviously only because you are crack-headed and insane. :)

Ah, it might be a sensible first-order reply, but if you ask why I'm hacking on dynamically loading Mach-O binaries in the first place, it might be because I'm crack-headed and insane. :-)

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that Mach-O binaries are either amazingly well thought out, or that they are a stupid piece of crap. Nothing in between, and I'm not sure which one yet.
