Saw Serenity friday, was pretty good. Maybe not the most awesomest movie ever, but it's a good, solid movie. I think I liked it a bit better as a serie, because character development is such an important reason why it's so good, and now it has to be all crammed into a two hour movie. Thankfully, they can leverage the serie, and they do it pretty cleverly, making it comprehensible if you haven't seen it, but even better if you did.

Then, later that evening, my two favourite people were plotting on instant messenging. Plotting against me, I can only assume. See, I trust these two to the end of the world, but one of the things I can trust them with to the end of the world is "poking me to death", for example. Not that I am complaining, no, far from it! I always seem to come back for more, don't I?

Went apple picking saturday. Can't say the day turned out to be as much fun as I expected it to, although it was nice nonetheless. I didn't climb any tree, nor got apples thrown at, to name only two things. Had a twinge of regret when I went to Bromont to pick-up my clipless pedals, as it was just incredibly perfect weather for downhill biking. Went to the Museum of Chocolate, where I picked myself a few plates of Valrhona chocolate, alledgedly some of the best chocolate money can buy. Had decent greek food on Prince-Arthur, trying to beat my shyness into submission, asking people where they came from.

Sunday, I did the most unlikely of things: I went shopping at Carrefour Laval with lady [livejournal.com profile] azrhey. Was quite possibly one of the most painless shopping experience I've ever had. I've picked up some some clothes which, I am assured, should entice people to try taking them off of me (in a good way!). They do give me that good vibe about them while wearing them that I look good, which is more important to me than actually looking good, but I think I do too, so it's awesome! Shoes are still a bit of an issue, and I'd like to get myself a nice bag, such as this one. Later. I still have boots on my mind...

Lastly, when I arrived home, I opened some mail from Revenu Québec I had gotten friday. Now, I'm a bit burned with them and was in no hurry, but it turns out they went from "you owe us tons of money and we're taking it off your paycheck because you're a patented idiot" to "sorry to have taken all that money from you, it was actually us owing you money, here's a big bundle of cash to make up for it all". Woohoo! Free money! Or something...

Yeah, I ran away from the office, and biked to no less than four biking equipment shops to get myself an electric blue Cocotte Equipment Frida bag. Had a lot of fun biking around, but less fun undoing and redoing the bike bag that I used up to now, so this new bag will be quite welcome (plus, I think my U-lock fits perfect in there!). Just for the extra fun factor, I did that riding during rush hour, and it was all sorts of awesome. It's weird how I'm actually rather wussy when it comes to most things (I'd never do "tricks", I can't even do a wheelie on my bike!), but zooming in through traffic, I find exciting and enjoyable (although not exactly relaxing).

Also, apologies for anyone within 500 meters, as I must stink something fierce.

[livejournal.com profile] vierge_en_trop gave me some apple baking to thank me for the driving saturday! That'll make for good dessert tonight, replace the energy I used biking today... [livejournal.com profile] joenotcharles assures me on the lovely little note he attached to it that "it's really good", and it sure looks like it.

Executive summary: I have a sweet bag, apple baking and I'm not dead (yet), even though I stink.
