Thursday, started off by hitting the Guinness at Grumpy's with [livejournal.com profile] hub_, [livejournal.com profile] ryss_rhiannon and [livejournal.com profile] thebabynancy. Both appropriate and inappropriate fondling done, for the entertainment of all. Then headed over to see the Dancing Cock Brothers with [livejournal.com profile] ryss_rhiannon, which was quite funny, despite a few weaker sketches. I took something like 180 photos, should check them out a bit, get permission for publication and put them up.

Friday, things started off a bit in the wrong way, someone dear to me feeling iffy. It's the second time this week, but I did what I can in these cases, which is listen and lend a shoulder. Not the most pleasant, and I'd rather not have to do it, but only through lack of need. If I can at all, I'm there for my friends.

But thankfully, there was a nice recovery, seeing Mr. & Mrs. Smith with [livejournal.com profile] azrhey. Hmm... Angelina Jolie! It was pretty good, not a masterpiece, but what I expected, a fun action movie with some nice Angelina Jolie to gawk at. I also liked the work of whoever was choosing and setting up the weaponry. They wasn't any glaring mistakes (they used appropriate weapons for the situations), they were very tasteful (lots of .45, and mostly nice german hardware when not), and put in a few nice touches, like the assault rifle modified to have an ejection port on the left side (Angelina is a lefty, apparently), as well as a case catcher (a top-shelf assassin wouldn't leave spent cases all over the place for the CSI people to gawk at).

We then went to join [livejournal.com profile] swestrup, [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and [livejournal.com profile] kyotto at the Mad Hatter, and on the way, there was the most awesome sky! Not only that, but the air was also extremely clear, with very warm lighting on the buildings from the setting sun, reflection on the glass towers, rainbow from the light rain. I was alternating between being totally awed at the sights and tearing my hair out for not having taken my camera with me. We also walked in the rain, which was much fun and splashy!

Saturday was the frolicking in the water with [livejournal.com profile] azrhey at [livejournal.com profile] swestrup and [livejournal.com profile] taxlady's pool. Was a bit cool, but still very nice (although I forgot my contact lenses case and had to be careful). Then had some tasty schnitzels and salad. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] taxlady for the food and putting up with my pickiness...

Sunday, headed out biking, doing most of the Lachine Canal with [livejournal.com profile] azrhey. I let her ride my bike (her comment: "it's effortless!"), while I rode her dad's bike (my comment: "this bike is good exercise!"). It was a lovely day out in the sun, with some wind but not too much and the pretty sights on the Canal (let's say [livejournal.com profile] azrhey got her money's worth out of her eye surgery!). Some lazing about in the Old Port, then back home. Then proceeded to get stuffed with the portuguese idea of a "quick dinner on the go" (pretty tasty stuff, though, if it wasn't for the ecological disaster that would ensue (from the bean content), I'd get some for myself!). Picked up [livejournal.com profile] ayria at the train station, hung out a bit and chatted, but then screwed up a bit, thinking that it was much earlier than it actually was.

Proceeded to make the best out of the bad situation by having a rather interesting talk about various subjects (including the capital of Sri Lanka, who lives there, and weddings in the portuguese culture).

I'm a really lucky person, knowing such great people. It's awesome.
