Tonight, we'll be moving to the other temporary studio. For those who haven't been following, the lady [livejournal.com profile] azrhey and I are currently living in a by-the-week studio, and we did find a more permanent apartment, but it'll only be available in early August, and our current place was already reserved for next week. So we had to find another temporary studio.

We're renting a (tiny) car to go spend the long week-end at the sea, so this is just about perfect timing. We're planning on camping in the car for the week-end, which is mildly nuts, considering the car, but oh well, I think it might be fun anyway! It'll be my first time driving in France too, we'll see how that goes.

Because of financia restrictions I chose between the room service or the view.

Oh, there's nothing really hard about driving in France, as long as you have detailed maps. Very dense, many roads, not in straight lines. You want maps. I suggest Michelin maps of 1:100000 or 1:200000 scale of any area you plan to leave the autoroute. They're expensive, but you will get lost without them.

But road quality and driver competence are pretty high. Not too many idiots. ;)

Oh, and bring lots and lots of change for toll booths.

bah its not that bad at all! But maybe because I am used to european roads, it is much easier for me to get lost in a grid type of map ( like in north america ) than in any kind of europe.I gues instinct goes a long way
