Looking up, and relaxing!
Jun. 24th, 2006 11:33 pmA rather annoying day at work on the Friday, where I "got volunteered" for QA work, which I have a deep hatred for. As much as I like unit tests, I find writing them annoying, and that wasn't even it, but rather coming up with test plans for a product I feel that I barely understand at the moment.
But that was going to be the end of it, as I got greeted by the lady
azrhey, with some tasty food ready, and we then went and biked around town, which was rather nice. We had some ice cream on the Place Wilson, with me getting a completely ridiculous "chocolat liégeois". I found out that the local grocery has Zobrowska (spelling?), which is good news!
Lately, I've been having next to no photographic inspiration, but on the way back home, we crossed the St-Michel bridge and we had a wonderful view on the Garonne, with the dark sky right after sunset and the Rio Loco festival happening across the river, it was quite amazing and combined with a few other sights Friday evening and today, is rekindling my passion for photography. I think I'll start carrying my camera around town again (yeah, I had stopped)...
Today, the weather was just gorgeous, a nice 35° of dry heat, where you'd just go in the shade with a half-pint of German beer and sit back. We went to Midica, a home furniture store, which was actually quite interesting, with the funky European gadgetry.
I found out the hub in my front wheel got a little wobbly, I'll have to have this looked over Monday.
