Whew, haven't written in about two weeks. Which is well known to be silly (in my case, it's usually when there's bad shit going on). I won't go into the details of a day-to-day coverage, that'd just be too much to write (and to read!). It's not just bad shit, thankfully, there's also very good stuff, but I've just been insanely busy, I didn't want to write without covering the bad stuff at all and just skip it... So here we are!

I struggled with some uncharacteristically large amounts of drama in my love life, mainly because I'm a blubbering idiot at times. No, don't anyone argue. I am, sometimes, and that's that. I might mean good, but that's not enough to do good. My shiny white armour isn't looking too pretty. Still, I go on. Mistakes where one doesn't learn are the only real failures, I think.

Other than that, there has been all sorts of things, both good and bad... She Wants Revenge, delicious dinner at [livejournal.com profile] sfllaw, dental work (complete with temporary damage to my nervous system!), water heater going dead, Easter dinners, lazy mornings, early mornings, movies, rusty water sprayed all over my kitchen, flamenco, hot water back on, Ikea, pantslessness, various anniversaries, hot water and heating going dead, packing, cleaning...

I was having a bit of a case of the "blah" yesterday that I couldn't really identify (maybe it was just the doing dishes or cleaning the bathtub with cold water? these are things I don't like doing even with hot water, so...), but I'm much better this morning, despite a rather cold night. The lady [livejournal.com profile] azrhey might disagree, but apparently, being cold is healthier for you, they say? Oh well!

Water heater going dead.

Ugh, I can relate. We've had that a couple of times in our current place, and both were awful! Once, it was the winter, so my best course of action to get clean was to fill the tub most of the way with cold water, to put the heater on full-blast in the washroom and close the door. Then, go over to the stove, and put on our biggest pot to boil.

Even with that dumped into the tub, I still ended up taking a couple of baths during which my testicles ended up in my throat. :s

Well, as you know, I'm not exactly following the most straightforward route, throw in a bit of well-meaning idiocy on my part, and you can get a few rather annoyed people, for sure...

in all due fairness... i don't think the über drama is mainly because ov you; all involved have their share ov participation in it, including me and i apologize for that.

I have a different technique for coping with this, but it's still annoying.

Well, there's a difference between the root cause and compounding the problem. There's been compounding, yeah, in different ways, but I'm fairly sure that if I had just kept the appropriate people informed of what was going on, most of this wouldn't have happened. This is well known and was a rather stupid omission on my part, I should totally have known better.

Not meaning to be nasty here, I'm just taking responsability for what's mine, and don't worry, I'll be leaving what isn't! Thanks for taking yours.

Oh man, does that fall in the bad or good column? I've had a rant brewing about those guys for a week now (what was I thinking when I bought their album?!).

It's definitely in the love/hate category, I'd say. I like most of it, but a few of their songs I do find outright annoying.

Being cold IS better, in fact keeping a good cool body temperature was key to survival techniques, stuff which I learned in great detail during my stint in the cadets (yes, I was a kaki head for a good while but not many people know this because... I sucked).

1- You sleep better
2- You eat better
3- You conserve energy better
4- You are more alert
5- You think better
6- Your CO2 intake, circulation, etc is better
7- You digest better

Amongst other things that I don't remember that much.

Did 1 week in the woods with a poncho, some fishing wire and a knife. Try that.

Being cold might be healthier, but it sucks! :-P
