Blowing up in my face, noise and food

I've spent a worrying and stressful end of week (last week now, my writing is getting spotty!), but even weirder, still fun and interesting nonetheless.

Wednesday evening, as I was driving around, trying to get to a clothes drying machine without too much success, I had a text message from [livejournal.com profile] azrhey to get on IM (which I couldn't, of course). There was something in the air that needed to be cleared out, but these things can't be done on IM anyway.

Despite this being still rather "hot", I convinced her to talk this over. Good communication and all, I don't want things to linger on like that. We did talk some of this stuff over. Seems like I'm being exceedingly rebellious at times, and a bit overzealous in my rejection of preconceived thinking and conventions. It was a difficult discussion, though, some time was needed to let things cool off.

I was still a bit worried, but I managed to have a good time anyway with [livejournal.com profile] tygrbabe, watching my Grundstück DVD. Am I nuts or the original Grundstück (the closing track on Perpetuum Mobile) is a waltz?!?

On the Friday, I found out I had underestimated how things were with [livejournal.com profile] azrhey. And while this was annoying and had me teetering for a little while, skipping the dinner part of Mr Zion's going away to discuss things, I think a workable plan had been laid out. But I was still feeling worried, because it seemed a bit to me like there was some "cutting of the baby in two" happening, and for me, that often blows up in my face. Blowing up in my face isn't nice.

But I then went and caught the Zion farewell party at the end of dinner, and I was well determined not to let my worries get the better of me, I'd see in time. And I had much fun, going at Sergeant-Recruteur and hearing some of Mr Zion's stories about seducing his tango dancing partners (as it's supposed to be!), LOL! [livejournal.com profile] messiahdivine apparently couldn't get enough of the microfibres in my jacket (and later, in [livejournal.com profile] cpirate's jacket). I plotted with [livejournal.com profile] cloquewerk a bit, as appropriate. I think I was complimented on my driving, although really, with four people in the car, it's not as nimble as it can be...

Saturday, after managing to lose a pair of earplugs (go me!), and arriving in front of the venue for C.O.M.A. 3 which had a loud metallic hammering sound from outside, we decided to go and get some earplugs first. The event was alternating between live shows and DJ sets (while the next act was setting up), and I found the DJing to be very good (oh, how have I missed awesome music in a club-type venue!), but the bands were a bit more erratic, some pretty good, and others a bit boring. Some had trouble with their laptop crashing and the sound card DMA hanging, heh.

After I dropped [livejournal.com profile] tygrbabe back at her place, I went and picked up the lady [livejournal.com profile] azrhey. Although it started a bit funny, we managed to have a nice evening nonetheless. You know how it is, when both people have their own faults, and they just happen to interact in some ways? I think it's all going to be all right, though.

The next day, we went to something that used to be an Eggspectation (at the old Forum) for some tasty breakfast. Of course, this was only so we could then go to [livejournal.com profile] azrhey's place and be fed more.

I feel like I am inconceivably lucky.

can't thank you enough for being my birthday date at C.O.M.A 3 and to [livejournal.com profile] azrhey as well for compromising and letting you go for a bit. i can only begin to imagine how much stress you guys must be going through with the move and all.

hehe, if I had any saying in where the man goes or doesn't go I'd be renting his arse in some sex slave market in Eastern Europe ( and making loads of money in selling the DVDs! ). But life is made of compromises and sometimes I just needs things explained to me in excruciating detail to make things better. Which has been done. So the morbid imagination paranoia has been replaced by actual facts. Which I have no problem with. And yes, the whole moving stress isn't helping. I beleive all parties involved have been rather understanding lately which is also a good thing.

..at least until the boy finds himself in a back alley of Odessa in a loincloth!
